ANY MUNICIPAL OR INDIVIDUAL ASSOCIATION DUES NOT PAID BY JUNE 30th WILL RESULT IN SAID MEMBERS BEING DROPPED FROM OUR MEMBERSHIP ROLLS!!!
Invoices will be mailed out in the Fall of each year, with membership dues to be paid by the first of each year. If you stop receiving invitations to conferences and activities, then check to see if your dues have been paid. Six months are given from the time the dues are supposed to be paid before membership is dropped, so there is plenty of time to get paid up. Please don't let it slip by. It is your association!

Basic Code Certification Class
OCEA offers a Basic Code Certification Class at the Eastern Oklahoma County Career and Technology Center located in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Topics include review and testing on State Statutes affecting Code Enforcement, as well as planning and zoning issues, constitutional awareness and personal protection and fulfillment. The curriculum was developed by the OCEA and the Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center staff. Cost is evaluated annually and will be announced once the dates have been set and curriculum determined. This year the Basic Code Class cost is $100.00. Property Maintenance Certification Class
OCEA offers a Property Maintenance Certification Class to be held at the Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center in Choctaw, OK. Attending the Basic Code Certification Class is a prerequisite for this class. This class will be taught out of the most recent International Property Maintenance Code book, which will be provided at the class, with the price included in the tuition. Instructors will be experienced code officers from various areas of the state. This class will help prepare you for the national ICC exam that is required by AACE in order to obtain their Property Maintenance Certification. Cost is evaluated annually and will be announced once the dates have been set and curriculum determined. The Property Maintenance Certification Class cost is $100.00. Spring and Fall Conferences
OCEA schedules two conferences each year. The Spring conference is usually held in February or March, is a two day conference, and is also the time the state meeting is held, which includes election of officers and any other OCEA-related business. Training is also scheduled during the conference. There is a fee for this conference which includes a catered banquet at which time the newly elected officers are announced, introduced, and sworn in.
The Fall conference is usually held in October or November, is one day in duration, and is free to enrolled members. Training is also included in this conference.

Announcements of voting results from the Spring Conference!
A vote was held to increase the annual dues, which was a bylaws change. The vote passed with 57 voting for the increase and 4 voting against the increase. The annual dues have remained the same ($25.00) since OCEA's inception in 1994. The dues have not increased in 14 years! Effective September 1, 2008, the annual dues will be $35.00 (for new members as well as renewals).
